Lasts

March and April consisted mostly of final moments:
Last day at work. Last Biopsych assignment. Last chapel. Last dinner in the caf. Last Mugs and Mittens. Last Pancake Monday.

Some moments were somber and some were full of relief. But, overall, I oddly felt a sense of… nothing. I didn’t feel as if incredible, monumental, important events were about to occur. I was about to graduate. Never live in a dorm again. Be surrounded by new faces. Fly across the world. But, each day just felt absolutely normal. Like I would be in college forever. Maybe I’m the only graduating senior who felt this way. Maybe you did/will relate. I don't know.

A few:
Last moments with Allie

Last All-Nighters with the Roomie

Last opportunities to borrow the Suite's shoes

Last time to hang out with these three

Last moments alone at my favorite spots

Last times studying at my favorite coffee houses.

Last assignments

Last Smoothie from Smoothie King (still in mourning)

Remember Me?

Oh, hey. Haven't blogged since February.

For the past five months, I’ve neglected documentation of monumental life events that have led me to entirely new experiences. I have been to two countries, 14 cities, and driven through 8 states. I've finished my final semester of my undergraduate degree. Decided on a redirected career plan. Led a missions team to Northern Asia. Said goodbye to friends, family, and my home, packing my car full of as many belongings as physically possible. And traveled across the country to my new home: Michigan.
I've been here for one month now and I have already lived in two homes and worked for three separate employers. Life has been fast-paced for the past few months; but now, finally settled, I am ready to not only catch you up on the adventure that was my transition, but also to explore this fresh city: full of new ministries, coffee shops, venues, thrifting and, most importantly… new people.
